March 23, 2022: A trip to Krka National Park

Krka National Park is about an hour from Zadar. So today, we rented a car and drove there, spending the entire day there. Since it is still off-season, there were very few people there, enabling us to walk throughout the park with only a handful of other people and a few vendors who were getting their shops ready.

Since it was still March, the boat trip on Krka Lake was not operational. We would have enjoyed taking it and will do so in May or June.

This link and the previous hyperlink will give you plenty of info about this beautiful park so I won’t write much about it. One of its attractive features is that it allows swimming. But, since this was the first day of the year that hit 70 degrees we did not swim. Instead, we just walked around the park a lot and took many pictures. Here are a few of them:

One of the many beautiful views in Krka National Park

The water is aqua colored

In some places it is possible to get close to the numerous waterfalls

This iron pipe guardrails on this narrow road are not actually strong enough to prevent a car from going into the water.
